My name is Mary Alice Young, I used to live on Wisteria lane until that fateful day when the letter arrived it the post, but that’s a different story. I think I am going to tell you of a mystery that came to my old street and my old friends. But this time it wasn’t of this earth, and it dragged in a few people along the way. So sit back and listen, for this is my tale.

Bree Hodge was scrubbing furiously at her dishes, there was only a small dot of dirt left and she was determined it get it off. All was silent in the house, her three children...well, two children and her grandson had gone out for the day, god knows where but she didn’t approve. Her husband as at work and due home any minute, she smiled as she finished doing the dishes and checked on the roast dinner she had in the oven. Bree looked around her perfect kitchen where the sparkling white plates lay drying by the sink, she flicked an invisible piece of dust from her table and got ready to lay the table, as she looked up she caught sight of Lynette, one of her neighbours. She had to go and see Susan later; maybe Lynette would be there, so she got out her baking tray and started preparing muffins.
Lynette Scavo almost skipped out of her home, her short blonde hair fell about her shoulders and she ran a hand through it, ecstatic to feel it once more. She’d beaten cancer, god it felt good to say that. She needed to tell someone, Tom had been with her and was now busy in Scavo’s. Her children where still at school, she couldn’t wait to tell them that their mother would have long, thick hair again, like she’d used to. She knew she was lucky and she would now savour everyday, she glanced across the road to see her neighbour Susan heavily pregnant but radiant, she’d tell her.
Edie Britt clacked along the roads of Wisteria Lane; she was wearing one of her shortest skirts and a top that didn’t leave much to the imagination. So what if this was a baby shower, now she’d lost Carlos she might as well try and find someone else. Her mind travelled back to her staged suicide and she smiled, she’d nearly had that man in her grasp, if it hadn’t been for his ex, stupid Gabrielle, she’d have him now. How come she got all the good guys? She looked across the road, there was Gabrielle herself, maybe she’d ask her. No, there was no point, why waste her breath on such a person?
Gabrielle walked quickly over to Susan’s home, balancing easily in the highest heels anyone had ever seen, never mind Edie. It annoyed her that even though the woman could barely stand, the men still fell over themselves to speak to her. Oh well, Gabrielle had her husband back, and maybe one day a child of her own, but now wasn’t the time. She was on her way to congratulate Wisteria Lane’s newest mother; and her best friend.
Susan watched from the window, her hands resting on her large belly; a lot had happened in Wisteria Lane in eight months and soon there would be a new resident. “Mike!” she yelled “There here!” her husband poked his head round the door and nodded, then went back to work. Susan smiled and rolled her eyes, she had no idea what Mike was up to but she rather liked it. As the bell rang she opened the door wide, tripping as she did so, and saw all of her friends at the door. They were all holding gifts, well; Bree was holding a gift and a bag of muffins. She laughed, “Come in” she called and was enveloped by hugs. Suddenly a roaring filled her ears, the group screamed and curled close together as an explosion echoed all around them. When it was over Lynette crawled slowly over to the crater and looked inside.
“Oh God”
For when the rest of my friends arrived, what they saw was a corpse, still burning.

The Doctor leapt about the TARDIS “No no no no!” he yelled, slamming his fist down on the controls and making the TARDIS fly faster. He needed another pair of hand, but what with Rose, Martha and even Donna gone he was quite alone. He was chasing an alien from a distant galaxy, The Doctor had no idea where it had come from, and so he needed to catch it. He wondered what Rose would have done and he saw his hands were gripping the console harder, no use dwelling, she was gone and he wouldn’t get her back.
He shook his head and fiddled with the screen, immediately her grabbed a chair, the TARDIS had exhilarated to its full potential and they were about to land.

“Come on guys!” Jack spun around and looked at his crew; Tosh, Ianto, Gwen and Owen all stared defiantly back at him.
“Come on Jack! Why can’t the CSI deal with this?” Gwen asked in her soft welsh accent.
Jack grinned “Because we’re Torchwood! And I wanted to get back to America sometime”
Owen rolled his eyes “SO you dragged us along for a holiday! Great, we’re an hour out of DC so there aren’t going to be any good bars”
“All you think is drinking Owen” Tosh retorted, “We need to get that body out of sight before anyone sees it”
“Toshiko’s right Owen” Ianto agreed
Jack smirked and pulled out a book, “And DC Owen, you know that’s we’re this girl lives” he showed Owen the back of a book where a tall woman with auburn hair and blue eyes looked back at him, holding a skull in her hand.

“Come on Bones!”
“What! I’m just saying that the suburbs are worse than the city, all the inside gossip and murder, you know”
Agent Seeley Booth bit back a retort to his partner, Doctor Temperance Brennan. “Look, we need to keep this as quiet as possible”
Temperance nodded “You can trust me Booth”
Booth gave her his most charming smile which turned to a groan, as they entered the small street; he was horrified to see crowds of people; a group of women and their husbands, a tall man with his gang all in black, and a strange man in the corner, talking animatedly to the police. Yes, this case wasn’t going to be a quiet one.
